I'm a designer, a boy mom, a die hard creative, a dog person, and someone who somehow always has a Red Bull or coffee within reach. I'm also the person who genuinely gets excited about spending six hours on a website.
Yes, by choice.
I've been creative for as long as I can remember, but I didn't actually know graphic design was a thing (let alone a career) until I opened Photoshop for the first time to edit photos of my dogs.
I was hooked.
What started with editing dog photos turned into a graphic design degree. And somewhere between working in manufacturing to designing a Pepsi truck wrap, seeing my work at the 30th Annual Fall Folk Festival, and building brands and websites for businesses I genuinely care about, I found something:
How much I really, really love this.
For me, design is a puzzle.
You have all these pieces, the person, the business, the audience, the industry, the personality, the goals, and somehow they all have to fit together.
My job is to figure out how. Before I touch a design program, I want to know you.
How do you want your business to feel?
How do you want people to see you?
What makes your business different?
Then I deep-dive. I research your industry, look at what's working, find opportunities to stand out, explore visual directions, and start putting the pieces together. Then comes my favorite part: That moment when you place the final piece.
Suddenly the colors make sense. The type makes sense. The layout makes sense. Everything working together. That's what I love about design.
